Naturally curly/frizzy hair- how do i buy a GOOD straightener?

I need one that gets VERY hot, because I've used cheap ones and they just don't cut it. even the stylist at the salon couldn't flatten my hair all the way; i still looked like a broom. so what's a GOOD brand and what are things i should look for when i'm trying to buy a straightener for unmanageable hair?

The best straightener out there is a Chi. You can get it at Ulta or Sally's. Also use a good conditioner. You should also get a heat protective spray to put use before you straighten it b/c it can get so hot. Part your whole head into sections and do it in small sections at a time. Trust me. I have very curly hair and I can get it bone straight. It has just taken me years to perfect it. But whatever DO NOT try and straighten it while it is still wet. You will totally fry it and it will be more frizzy then before. That will ruin the ends of your hair. Also get a silkening gloss to put on when you are finished. It will make it sikly and smooth.

If they couldn't straighten it at the salon, I don't know that there's a good over the counter one that will work.

Go to Sally's Beauty Supply and see what they have in stock there.

The best thing is always one recommended by your hair stylist or any hair stylist. Also, when using a hair straightener best choice is to use a special cream in your hair to protect from damage.

Buy A JCPenny Straightener, Also Use Conditioner..It Helps.

i got my hair straightner from wal mat for 18 bucks. It works wonderfully even if itis from wal-mart. although it is Revlon so maybe that's why

Go to Sally's Hair Supply store. I bought a pair of flat irons that cost me $100 but they were so worth it. They were called Ion made from Japanese steel and they get extremely hot (450 degrees)

Go to ULTA it is a great beauty store that has very helpful and nice workers. Just to worn you the good ones are usually very expensive!

My hair is exactly the same way. What I would suggest is definetly go to Sally's Beauty supply.

What I do is I use a ceramic straightener when my hair is wet. I also use a clear syrum, (which I can't remember the name), which is similar to frizz ease.

Sometimes it works better for people if they blow dry their hair w/ a brush first to create a straight look and then they use the ceramic straightener.
