Hurricane Hair?!?

My Hair is Naturally coarse, wavy, and thick. but i recently just had it cut mid length but the cut was meant for those with straight hair, so it looks very bad. the stylist thinned up my hair by putting alot of layers and used thinning scissors and stuff, but now it just puffs up on top and flys out everywhere in the ends. everyday i start a regret moment cause i really dont like the outcome of what my hair looks like, please help :/

And it would really help if you could suggest a style for me that wouldnt require alot of fixing up (maybe something wash and wear, and punk rock?/emo XD) cause i dont have alot of time to fix, blowdry or iron my hair. thankyou so much! :D oh and if you have pictures and time, if it wont be trouble, could you email some pictures to me? means uberlotss

Hurricane Hair?!?

just let it grown back out .if you try to make it lool better you may end up making it worse

Hurricane Hair?!?

your hair sounds exactly like mine. i got it layered and its all flyaway-y. i would just say grow it out, dont get it cut like that again. try gels and de-frizz products on it until it grows out. if no such luck, a ponytail always works for me. good luck!

Sounds like you need to start using a flat iron at night before bed and then put on a cap....that would flatten the hair from the "poofiness"....don't wash the hair so much so it doesn't dry out. You need natural oils on the hair to try to settle it down a bit. So make it a habit to wash your hair once a week at most if you can drag it out that long at first. If your head generates oil faster then you can wash it every 3 days. For the cap, an old nylon stocking or part of a pantyhose will do....even if it falls off at night it still does the job for the time it was on. Don't wear a terry turban...that will encourage the poof! Good luck girl!

Hurricane Hair?!?

I also have naturally coarse, wavy, and thick hair.

Two things I recommend:

1. John Frieda Frizz Ease "Secret Weapon" Flawless Finishing Creme. Non-greasy, lightweight, rub-it-in and go.

2. Shower before bed. Towel dry and brush your hair. Go to bed with your hair damp. Your hair will dry as you sleep. Wake up with soft, luscious curls. I swear by this method for any hairstyle. I only use Frizz Ease when I shower and blow dry during the day.

Good luck!
