Looking for emo-ish haircut?

OK so , i'm dont wanna be categorised and i hate all that sectioning people blah blah blah....

But i want a hairstyle with the side fringe and watnot...and i guess the only real name for it is Emo/Scene style.... so i guess we'll call it that!

My hair is pretty short at the moment, and the fringe grown out a bit. My problem being is that i have REALLY THICK hair, really annoying in my opinion when your looking for this type of hairstyle!

So I need to go to the hair stylist soon, get it cut. So i need ideas (pictures, words, watever) on wat to ask her for.

But ... i really want something that is low maintainance. That wont cause too much time in front of the mirror, or watever. I dont have problems with straightening hair, or anything like that. But to be honest i havent really a clue on where to start!!!!

try something like pete w. from fall out boy. My friend has hair like that. You could straighten it if you wanted, use gel, or go for a shaggy look.

have them take the back of your hair to whatever length that you want it. then from there tell your hairstylist to overdirect everything forward from the crown to the fringe area. that will give you that long fringe that you want and then have her take the thinning shears from midstrand to ends to help it lay better because you have such thick hair.

You would probably have to straighten your hair, and maybe use a little gel or hairspray or whatever.... But those would look the best!
