Damaged bangs. Help?

My bangs always flip out, and they never stay put after I straighten them. They're VERY damaged, but when I went to a stylist and SHE cut my hair AND straightened my hair (with the same straightener I have [Chi]) my bangs looked perfect.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND! HELP! please!

Damaged bangs. Help?

use a hot oil treatment from the supermarket and also sleep with conditioner in your hairs. after sleeping with conditioner in your hair a few times your hair will be shiny and healthy

Girls only?

I was wondering have any of you ever cut your own hair? I have and at the time I was only 13 and although it was a bad thing to do it looked alright.(not hair stylists)

Girls only?

Yes, I did and believe it or not it was the best haircut I ever had. but when it grew out and I tried to cut it again, it did not come out the same. I had to get it professionally fixed and ended up with short hair. But that first haircut was perfect. Beginners luck I guess!

Girls only?

Ive tried once or twice and it never ends well

Girls only?

No, but my brother did once.

Girls only?

i did it a few weeks ago but not a lot, just at the front and my fringe, didnt take 2 much off so looked ok, the hairdressers never do it the way i like so i just thought ide go 4 it! could have turned in2 a total disaster but everything was alright

Girls only?

no way- too scared. I don't even color my own hair!

Girls only?

I always cut my own hair but now it's longer I go to a hairdressers, you actually learn what suits you after a while. If it looks OK and no one comments then carry on doing it.

Girls only?

i tryed once but later on that night i went to the salon n had it done by proffesionals

Girls only?

He he he, I was 4 old year, and then not looked good.

Girls only?

never tried and never will, the way my hair looks is very important to me, only my stylist is allowed to do it and don't trust anybody else even if they have experience with cutting hair

Girls only?

no

Girls only?

I cut my hair every year during the summer and I love it. Give it a try. If you are skeptical try cutting a few inches off first and if you like it, cut more off. That's what I did the first time. After that, I was cutting shorter and shorter each year.

Girls only?

I used to cut my own hair all the time and sometimes still do, but only if I am cutting a small amount off. Its not that difficult if you really watch the stylist and keep it simple. As long as you like it, that is what matters most.

Girls only?

I don't do it because I can't see the back of my head well enough to cut straight.

Girls only?

I tried when I was really little and it ended up in an awful mess!

Girls only?

when i was 3 didnt want my fringe so i thought i'd get rid of it by cutting it off. It did not luk good.

Girls only?

I once cut my brother's hair... I threw it from the window so my mum wouldn't find out.. Well, she did. But cut my own hair - never

Girls only?

sometimes if you can do a good job

Girls only?

I done it once, and I vowed to never cut my own hair again. It looked alright in the front, but the back was hideous.

Girls only?

yes, i have at about your age i felt really sad

Girls only?

i've cut my hair like 15 times.

Girls only?

the first and last time i cut my own hair i was 5...

Girls only?

when i was little i used to cut my own bangs. i didnt want it long or short. i just wanted none at all. what was i thinking?

Girls only?

I usually just trim my bangs, or the front layers...otherwise it would probably be best to have someone help you.

Girls only?

no but my cousin cut her pont tail off

Girls only?

No, I never cut my own hair.

Girls only?

don't do it

To all girls who get their bikini lines professionally waxed!!! ....?

What age did you start going to a salon to get it done? Was it awkward? What methods did you try before and why did you choose to get it done? Also, did it hurt?

And another, random, question... when your in a salon getting your hair cut do you talk to the stylist, I tend not to, am I being rude?

To all girls who get their bikini lines professionally waxed!!! ....?

i think u can go at 16/18 and it hurts at first but then u get used to it

if they dont take to you then no your not being rule, its if they are talking to you and you dont talk back it is rude

hope i helped

Taking pictures with you to a hairstylist?

After a bad haircut experience I chose not to cut my hair but now after a yr I want to get a haircut because my hair has no style and looks horrible...

I have a specific hairstyle in mind....I found some pictures of the perfect hair cut but Im wondering will a stylist laugh at me for taking pics? whats the etiquette for presenting pics( I dont want to offend them)

Also, does anyone know of some amazing hairstylist in the city of Chicago??

Taking pictures with you to a hairstylist?

i would much rather see a pic of something. i hate it when people try to explain something and they really have it all wrong when they try to tell you what they are looking for. example: "i want a wedge" when in reality they wanted a stacked bob......BIG DIFFERENCE!

when you don't have a pic is when you are setting yourself up to get something you don't want. i would even ask for the stylist that is the best with that particular style so you have a better chance of being satisfied!

Taking pictures with you to a hairstylist?

TAKE PICTURES! we love having people show us so we know we are on the same page!

Taking pictures with you to a hairstylist?

No they wouldn't laugh cuz i know ppl who does that its better then tell them wat hair style u want, cuz one time i went to get my hair cut and layered i told them not to cut pass my shoulder and they did.. lol but 1 and half year later my hair covers down to my butt xD

Taking pictures with you to a hairstylist?

pictures are probablly the only way they'll see what you really want done......if you tell them....there is a high chance they might still mess it up;.....and once you find the perfect stylist....stick with him or her..

Taking pictures with you to a hairstylist?

They are not gonna laugh at you! Just tell the stylist thats how you want your hair to be cut. I don't live in Chicago so I don't know the good place...

Taking pictures with you to a hairstylist?

Trust me a stylist won't laugh at you [why would they?] It's an excellent idea to bring pics to show them what you're looking for. I think they probably appreciate it because it actually gives them a visual of exactly how you want it to look.

Taking pictures with you to a hairstylist?

take the pics---- the more expensive the stylist the better!

Taking pictures with you to a hairstylist?

Hello. YES I can tell you that as a hairstylist we appreciate pictures. Don't ever feel bad for showing your hairstylist exactly what you . A picture helps us to understand what the client has in mind. If he/she seems offended....look for someone else becuase they are wanting to do what they want and not what you want. Hope this helps!!

Taking pictures with you to a hairstylist?

No, pictures are great, just understand that if you show them a picture of something that can't be done with the hair you already have, they will try to explain it to you, and you shouldn't get upset or offended because they can only do what is possible with what they're working with. They may be able to suggest something similar though with your hair.

And no real etiquette needed; usually they'll ask you in the beginning what you're wanting done, and that is when you would say "something like this..." and show them the picture.

Taking pictures with you to a hairstylist?

I always take in a picture because I am very bad at describing a hair style. Also, my stylist can look at the picture and adapt the style for my hair texture.

How can lift my selfesteem?

Right now I feel like s.hit. I dont want to go outside, I feel like I'm the ugliest dude on school, before girls always hit on me now, they don't even stare at me, I feel that my eyebrows are horrible, at least if i was a girl I could've fixed it, but I can't, my hair is disgusting, i went ot cut my hair and the stylist did a really bad job. What can I do, I feel alone

How can lift my selfesteem?

you can know that a lot of girls feel the exact same way. look at how many girls posted "am i pretty". i'm sure it's not as bad as it seems, hair grows. and f.y.i you CAN do a little something to your eyebrows. as long as you don't full out get them totally done. and maybe they're not staring at you because they can tell you lack confidence. if you see a guy with his head down walking close to the wall i wouldn't stare at him either.

How can lift my selfesteem?

you can boost your self esteem by doing something that makes you feel good about yourself

How can lift my selfesteem?

oh eyebrow waxing is totally a normal thing for men! My man and I go all the time!

Don't be so hard on yourself! Buy yourself a new outfit and smile!

XOXOXO

How can lift my selfesteem?

Chill out. Everyone feels ugly every now and then. Go to the barber. They can trim your eyebrows for you. Go to Wal-Mart and get some facial cleanser for your face afterward. Then take a bubble bath. I know it sounds really gay to a guy but trust me, if you get the mint/eucalyptus bubble foam you'll feel rejuvenated and so much better!

How can lift my selfesteem?

A bad haircut can't make you that ugly.

Seriously this boy in my school had long blonde hair and then shaved his head and the girls are still all over him! [I never thought he was ever cute though.] Anyways you get the point.

I'm sure your still hott! [=

Okay, if you've been following my hair saga, please help me out.?

I had damage done by chemical 8 months ago and it has been cut cut and cut since then from shoulder length to now about chin length, but shorter on the sides so had to get about 10 extensions in each side to match it up. The top is short. The idiot cut it in short layers all over back in January and my hair grow SOOO slowly anyway because it is fine and thin and has a natural curl to it, but still some straightener in it on the ends. I got a trim today, and the stylist I used to use when I had long beautiful hair (who I now will ONLY use her!!! - learned my lesson) said to leave the extensions in the sides or I would be devastated by the sides. She said since mine is SOOO fine and soft (like a baby's), that I would have to use heat to style it (hair dryer, curling iron, or flat iron) but to not do that every day. She said to try to skip washings if I could and just use some heat on it instead. It looked AMAZING when she styled it with the flat iron!!! I just don't have a lot of

Okay, if you've been following my hair saga, please help me out.?

yikes. if that had happened to me, i would be PISSED.

uhm, i say wash it fresh every morning. since your hair is probably pretty damaged, that may not be the best thing. it may be better to let your natural oils spread through your hair, which will help heal it. so, if you are not going anywhere, try to hold off on washing it for a couple days. also, try a deep conditioner if you are going to need to kill it with heat every day (though i suggest not to...)

i feel so bad for you!! i hope it all works out!!!

What color should i dye my hair ?

Okay . So i am a brunette, and i have dark dark dark brown eyes. My hair is really thick , and is cut in layers , goes down below the chest. First i got highlights. They looked natural, had a tone of orange. Then I got blond highlights . They were to blond, so the stylist toned them and i got a mix of different blond tones . Basically I'm tired of my highlighted hair and want to do something new . I can either dye my hair back to the brunette i was , to dye it a light brown , or get more highlights . What do you think i should do ?

What color should i dye my hair ?

i think light brown would look really cute!

What color should i dye my hair ?

light brown.

good luck, peaccee

What color should i dye my hair ?

Why would you want to dye your hair?! Its TERRIBLE for you hair. If i were you i wouldnt dye it.

What color should i dye my hair ?

Why dont you just die it a new colour? Highlights are so cliche like seriously... Go for a new colour! Soften it up a bit or Edge it out. Whichever you prefer. If you really want a hair change get it cut. No a lot but you know a cut where people can tell thats its been cut. =]

What color should i dye my hair ?

A lighter brown would be good because it will blend well over your blonde highlights and it is still different from having your natural dark brown hair.

What color should i dye my hair ?

dying your hair is bad for it, and expensive, but if you want to dye it, you should dye the bottom layers dark brown, and the top layers light brown, that way the dark brown shows through the light in areas, but doesn't look, cheap, tacky, or highlighted. But it really should be your choice, it IS your hair after all.

What color should i dye my hair ?

i think u should dye it light brown and get dark blonde highlights

*hope this helps*

-Allison

What color should i dye my hair ?

Hair dyed to dark or light above its natural color looks awful. I had a similar problem, my hair is light brown and I blonde highlights. What I did was to just dye my natural cover over them, looks good as new. So I think you should dye it back to your natural color, or if you want something different, maybe a little lighter.

How do I spike my hair up like this Japanese Rocker kid?

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n41/k...

I want my hair to do something like that. A sequence of photos with Japanese captions underneath only give me a vague idea of what I should do.

I know I won't get my hair EXACTLY like that because I don't have the cut for it, but I want to be able to get the same look in general.

MY HAIR + MY UGLY FACE:

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n41/k...

I'm between stylists right now and haven't settled with one yet. I asked the stylist who gave me the haircut in my picture and she said to use a wax but she was too busy to tell me exactly how. I've asked another stylist and he told me to just use alot of hairspray. He even tried it on me but all it did was fall over.

A pomade seems to have the same effect.

I tried got2b's glue and that seems to work but, the thing is, I don't know how to use it to achieve the look I want D:

Should I go back and try to be friends with a girl that is in love with her ex?

To make a long story short, I realized that I had strong feelings for my stylist that had cut my hair for the last 7 years. We were discussing relationships and before I could admit my feelings for her she tells me she is still in love with her ex and that she wants to get back with him. Needless to say, I was devastated, but I did not say anything at the time.

I realized I could not hold my feelings back and wrote her a long letter telling her how I felt. She texted me back telling me she was flattered by my letter but that she could not get over her ex and really wanted to get back with him. Still devastated, I left her a voice mail telling her that I was going to be better off not seeing her again.

Thing is, I really cannot get over her. Songs on the radio and other things keep reminding me of her. Should I still stay away completely or should I swallow my pride and go back to her even though I know she will likely never return my feelings for her?

Should I go back and try to be friends with a girl that is in love with her ex?

You will be wasting your time if you go back. It will only do you harm. You'd be better off going forward and looking for someone who is available.

Should I go back and try to be friends with a girl that is in love with her ex?

get a new stylist

Should I go back and try to be friends with a girl that is in love with her ex?

Just stay away from her... you can do better. She is really pathetic if she is still in love with her ex (it took me like a week to get over my ex)

Just keep busy, and meet new people.

Should I go back and try to be friends with a girl that is in love with her ex?

You've already said more than enough and she's already made it plain that she's not into you.

Do yourself a favor and get over her by dating other gurlz.

Should I go back and try to be friends with a girl that is in love with her ex?

Leave her alone... try to get over it. Easier said than done.

Even if you do get her, you have to ask yourself if you want to be in a relationship with someone whose heart is not entirely yours.

Should I be risky and get a LOT of layers? (saw it in a magazine)?

In Glamour, in the January issue, there were a bunch of hair cuts that they showed, as a suggestion and for ideas. One of them had a LOT of layers all over the girl's head, and I would think that would look so cool! I really want to get tons of layers, but it can either look really good, or really bad. I can usually make a hair cut look great even when the stylist screws up bad, but for this one I'm scared. Should I risk looking great, or not risk looking like my head came out of a shredding machine?

Should I be risky and get a LOT of layers? (saw it in a magazine)?

Well, go for it. Tell the person that'll cut your hair to even out the layers. It shouldn't have too much, and it shouldn't have too less. I have my hair layered and it looks great. I have some compliments about my haircut.

At first, I thought my hair looked horrible. But after I took a shower, wet my hair, and used a hair dryer, it looked great.

Should I be risky and get a LOT of layers? (saw it in a magazine)?

well i say go for it because i am a risk taker and you only live once..if you trust your hairstylist then discuss it with them and do it..you dont have to get it exactly like the pic because you are not just like the model..u can train it for your look..

Should I be risky and get a LOT of layers? (saw it in a magazine)?

i wouldn't risk it. a lot of layers looks great on a very few people. try putting a few and if they don't seem to stand out as much as you want them to get a few more. and so forth.

Should I be risky and get a LOT of layers? (saw it in a magazine)?

go ahead risk it

Should I be risky and get a LOT of layers? (saw it in a magazine)?

Since a haircut has nothing to do with chemicals that do irreversible damage, I would definetely take the risk. I'm 22 and rarin' to go! I wouldn't even mind dying it a bold colour as long as I'm doing it because I like that look. Recently, I had a short, layered haircut that looks a lot like the one in my avatar. At the salon, it looked very glamourous and all. But, two days later, I realized that I had cut it too short, and it upset me a bit. I was used to bad haircuts as a preteen, and I know I aught to have learnt something from there. Yet, I went ahead and asked for too many layers than was good for my soul. The difference between the haircuts then and now is that I hold my head up high and see beauty in the imperfection as opposed to the shy, awkward way I took it up as a 12-year-old.

Should I be risky and get a LOT of layers? (saw it in a magazine)?

well ive layered hair !!!!!! lol it aint that bad !!!!! :P but make sure the shortest layer aint that short (no less than top of the ear ) !!!! or else u'll wake up with a "big" head !!!! ...

Should I be risky and get a LOT of layers? (saw it in a magazine)?

I'd be really careful... If you get layers starting too high up you have to style is EVERY day and make sure it's perfectly straight, EVERY DAY. Or else you'll have a mullet... Those styles are dangerously close to mullet already so if you want one you have to be willing to put alot into making it work.

How do I get this hairstyle? (Help needed please!)?

Whenever I take this picture to a hair salon they cut it all wrong. The first person cut my fringe up to my eyebrows when Cruise's is much longer. When I'd regrown my hair I tried a different stylist and they cut my sideburns way too short when Cruise's are really long.

So, I'm looking for sort of step-by-step guide on how I can get this hairstyle. I'll choose the best answer too!

How do I get this hairstyle? (Help needed please!)?

It's layered, it's long on the sides and his bangs probably come down close to the end of his nose when not swept to the side. Make sure you mention this when you go to the next stylist.

PS: Don't skimp on money. If you want a good cut and a good stylist, it'll costcha.

How do I get this hairstyle? (Help needed please!)?

find an array of pictures from every angle and say i want this tell them whatt has gone wrong in the past :_)

i dont think you should do it yourself...

How do I get this hairstyle? (Help needed please!)?

go to haircuttery. that place is great

How do I get this hairstyle? (Help needed please!)?

Well... It's good that you took the picture to the hair dressers to tell them what you want, because some people are scared to do that.

The one thing you could do is go to a hair dresser and get a consultation first. Tell them what you want and that you want longer diagonal bangs and you want it shaggy and long. And once you find a hair dresser you trust, stick with them!

Good Luck!!

How do I get this hairstyle? (Help needed please!)?

Hi,

You should get a picture of what you're exactly wanting. Go to a hairdressers, mens barber or even a salon, show them the picture...and than snip snip snip...make sure you look after your hair and wash it 1 or 2 a week. You can also use treatments, gels and mouses.

Tip- Don't brush your hair when it is wet, wait until it is damp or fully dried.

How do I get this hairstyle? (Help needed please!)?

I'm very picky about my hair style also, here's what I'd do,I know hairstylist don't really like working from photos because

you have to keep in mind if you don't have the same shape face as the person in the photo the haircut may not look like what you want, then show the photo and take your time explaining what you do and don't want, like "leave sideburns long,Please don't cut fringe up to eyebrows, and then just find someone who will please you and stick with them,it's a process, don't be afraid to speak up!

How do I get this hairstyle? (Help needed please!)?

step 1) call up the Hollywood Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Guild in Hollywood

step 2) ask for Kandy Walken's phone number (she cut Tom's hair)

step 3) arrange a hair appointment

step 4) fly to Hollywood %26amp; get it cut right!

How do I get this hairstyle? (Help needed please!)?

best thing to do is to specifically tell your hairdresser what to do. like tell them not to cut your fringe or your sideburns too short and ask them to do it a bit longer. that way they can do it and you can see for yourself and if it needs a bit more they can always go and cut it some more. be very specific and let them know exactly what you want. otherwise they will just do it.

i hope that helps.

How long will chemically burned hair take to grow back?

I feel my hair isnt growing after it was chemically burned at a professional stylist. my ends are dead and I dont dare cut it because it really isnt growing..it has been ,almost, 2 years now! what can i do!?!?!?!

How long will chemically burned hair take to grow back?

GET YOUR ENDS TRIMMED!

DUHH!

How long will chemically burned hair take to grow back?

You need to get it cut and also condition it alot. Try not to wash it too much with shampoo cause that will just dry it out more. Try sebastians potion 9 its about $20.00 but it is a really good leave in conditioner. Also try hair masks.

How long will chemically burned hair take to grow back?

Ah, yes! Something most of us have done in our lives! The news is not great but it could be worse. You really do need to get a significant cut. There are tons of mid or shorter length styles that are popular right now. Unfortunately, if you don't cut it, it will continue to break %26amp; split and will not allow for proper growth. Get a great cut, a great shampoo %26amp; deep conditioner. One more thing, if you blow dry, straighten, or use a curling iron then a heat protector would help alot. Remember, it may suck now..... but it WILL grow back! Good luck!

Good luck!

Is there grey color dye or hair processing?

I actually would like to have my hair silvery or refined grey. Is there a product that will take it from the blonde (almost brassy at times) dyed color to its more natural grey now that the majority of it seems to be a quite nice mix of silver and pale blonde to brown. My hair is long and I do not want to wait the three years or so for it to slowly grow out nor do I wish to cut it short. I have asked my stylist but she just highlights it although she has suggested lowlighting. Not sure why she did not decide that was the option. Thanks for any input you might have.

Is there grey color dye or hair processing?

i actually have this dilemma in my salon. one of my clients is our local santa. our demi-permanent color line makes a "pearl" (white-ish gray) and a "silver" (more steel gray). i mix the two as a toner when i bleach santa's hair and beard, so he has the more traditional gray santa hair.

i have never seen over the counter gray color.

you need to look for a salon that uses wella color. more specifically, wella color touch demi-permanent color. i can't remember the names of the colors, but the pearl one, which is lighter, is 10/89, and the silver one (darker) is 8/81. colors don't give the same effect to all people. and if your hair is highlighted, the hairs your stylist doesn't pick up that remain natural will NOT be affected by demi-permanent color. demi-permanent color is an oxidative deposit-only color, meaning, it is long lasting (approximately between 4 to 8 weeks, depending on your hair, your shampoo, how often you shampoo, and a few other variables) color that can only darken, or give tone on tone coverage.

if you have a local regis salon, give them a call, as most regis salons use wella color.

hope this helps!

Do you know of any products to help with permanate flat iron damage???

My hair is or should I say was down my back until I went to this hair stylist that used to pull her old flat iron on my hair so hair that my ends curled up permanently. I just got 4 inches cut off to start over healty but now Im still seeing my hair permanlty curled or crinked and split all the way up, I cant cut all of my hair off. What should I do.

Do you know of any products to help with permanate flat iron damage???

Oh wow that is terrible.....I am so sorry to hear that. I would go back to that lady and show her what her "skills" did to my hair.... In the meantime .....

I would go and get my ends trimmed regularly ...then I would do some at home deep conditioning. You can go to Sally's Beauty Supply and get a good "deep" conditioner you can either get it in packs or a jar of it ...i would recommend getting a jar ..and its not really expensive and get a pack of processing caps. Then I would wash my hair then apply a generous amount of conditioner and then put on a processing cap then take a thin damp towel and microwave it for 35-45 seconds and wrap it around your hair. I would leave this on for an hour or longer if you want just remember to keep reheating the towel. Then when you are done rinse really well and at the end of the rinse turn the water to cold and rinse really quick in just cold water. I would do this two or three times a week if time will allow it . Drink lots of water and try to eat healthy and remember to get your hair trimmed and try and let your hair air dry whenever you can and your hair will start to get healthy again. And when your ready you can still use your flat iron and things just remember to do a deep conditioning at least once a week even once your hair gets healthy.....

Hope this was helpful ~~

Good Luck ~~

You can good a good deep conditioning treatment or jar at Sally's and it isn't expensive and make sure you ask the clerk there that it is a color safe product, i feel certain it will be but you never know. I try alot of the home remedies and most of them work.....just be careful if you try them because a few of them did lightened my color ... :(

Do you know of any products to help with permanate flat iron damage???

Try this products.^_^

Do you know of any products to help with permanate flat iron damage???

It really depends on your hair type.

Normally a shower, shampoo and conditioner should remove whatever a flatiron styles your hair.

Garnier Fructis has a soothing cream that might give some nutrients back into your hair. I am sure other brands also have their own.

A ceramic flat iron that can be used for dry and wet hair may also help so that you can get your hair to how you want it. Just make sure you do not have the temperature on too high.

HAIRSTYLISTS: Be Honest...Do you always sanitize your instruments after you've dropped it &

I used to work at my aunt's beauty college, and i think i remember that hairstylists must always clean their scissors/combs, etc. after each client or if they accidentally dropped an instrument. When i go get my hair done, i dont think that rule is always in play. Even if the brush comes out of a "sanitized" drawer, how do i know if it really is? What is a nice way of telling the hairstylist i don't trust that brush! I've had my hair cut at alot of different places (unfortunatley, i haven't found a favorite stylist yet), hoity-toity hair salons that charge and arm and leg, walk-in salons, and even at the mall. Wouldn't the stylist be in some deep doo-doo with the state board if they're not being clean?

HAIRSTYLISTS: Be Honest...Do you always sanitize your instruments after you've dropped it %26amp;/or after a client?

Usually. If I drop a comb, I don't pick it up, I grab a clean one out of the drawer. Brushes get the loose hair removed and sprayed with disinfectant. All combs, color brushes, clips, etc get washed, soaked in soapy water, then in barbicide solution after use. The only thing I don't always santitize is my scissors. Because they are metal and non-porus and don't come in direct contact with skin, it can be done less often. I will tell you, though, that the salon I work in is VERY clean. Cleaner than any other I have worked in or visited. Everything is sanitized and we have a cleaning crew clean every morning before we open.

HAIRSTYLISTS: Be Honest...Do you always sanitize your instruments after you've dropped it %26amp;/or after a client?

I dropped it in pube hair and combed my mustash with it after I ate rosie o donnel

HAIRSTYLISTS: Be Honest...Do you always sanitize your instruments after you've dropped it %26amp;/or after a client?

yes always its completely disgusting if any stylist doesn't not to mention unsanitary!!

HAIRSTYLISTS: Be Honest...Do you always sanitize your instruments after you've dropped it %26amp;/or after a client?

hey i understand completely....if you're not sure...just politely ask for them to sanitize the instruments...!!!!!!=)

HAIRSTYLISTS: Be Honest...Do you always sanitize your instruments after you've dropped it %26amp;/or after a client?

No!

HAIRSTYLISTS: Be Honest...Do you always sanitize your instruments after you've dropped it %26amp;/or after a client?

Not all the time, 95% though. I'm being honest, I see all the salons do this that i've worked at.

How should i correct my hair ??????

MY HAIR WAS ALMOST BLACK AND I HAD A STYLIST PUT BLONDE STREAKS IN IT OR TRY TO WITH SOME GREENISH LIGHTENER ....... I WAS THERE FROM 1030 AM TILL 330PM AND THE STUFF DIDNT LEFT ALL THE WAY AND IM THINKING SHE DIDNT PUT FROST ON MY HAIR TO GET IT BLONDE BLONDE LIKE THE PIC HAD WITH STREAKS ........ MY STREAKS DIDNT COME OUT BLONDE LIKE I WANTED .... I WAS WANTING MORE STREAKS IN MY HAIR ............. I DONT THINK THE STUFF WAS STRONG ENOUGH TO CUT THOUGH BLACK ANYWAYS BECAUSE I CALLED SALLYS AND THEY TOLD ME THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A GREEN BLEACH ALL ARE PURPLE OR WHITE ............ IM THINKING I JUST NEED TO DO IT AT HOME WITH A CAP WITH FROST MYSELF BUT I NEED ADVICE !!!!!!

How should i correct my hair ??????

there's a product that salons use that comes in lots of colors. i would not put bleach on my hair myself without knowing what product they used. call the salon where you went and talk to the manager and let her know you're not happy with your hair and ask if someone else could fix the problem you're having. if you want you could also make sure that stylists isn't there when you go back to make you more comfortable!

you paid the money, you should be happy with your hair!!!

How should i correct my hair ??????

A lot of salons will let you come back for free if you are not happy, or even give you your money back. It may be dangerous to try it yourself, going blond on dark hair can turn green or red. And a lot of problems can come up if you've already colored it. Good luck!

How should i correct my hair ??????

She may have had a bleach with a toner in it already. When you lighten hair from black to blonde it goes throuhg steps of lightening and can turn red or red orange way before it gets blonde. Lightening from that dark is likely to take more than one try, you wouldnt want anything stronger because it can break your hair off. The reason it would be green is because it tones down red. Altough I have not seen a product like that before doesnt mean it doesnt exist. And I wouldn't take the word of someone at Sally's. There are so many other products out there that they don't even carry, in places that are only open to professionals.

What's the best hair salon for wavy/curly haired girls?

I'd like to get a haircut when I visit. Which salons feature stylists who know how to manage fuzzy wavy/curly hair AND give a fairly creative cut (fyi-- creative for a 40+ fem, not a 16+). I can pay around $100 for a cut though certainly I'd be happy paying less.

What's the best hair salon for wavy/curly haired girls?

Tommy at spin culture did an awesome job on my hair. I'm in my mid 30s and it's a great look. Mine is naturally wavy and he took the time to show me how to style it the way he had done at the salon. It cost $65 including a big tip.

They are at 7802 third avenue in Bay Ridge, it's on the R line. At 86th Street on the same line is a brand new circuit city, they also have a century 21 and other discount stores so you can make a day of shopping and beauty.

Long hair to medium-short "Professional" hairstyle for thick hair?

Reality is finally catching up to me and I'm seeing negative effects in having long hair in things such as interviews. Apparently I'm looking more like a hit-man than an engineer.

example:

http://ttu.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=32...

So I'm stuck having to figure out a hairstyle that works for curly, puffy, thick hair. I've had long hair for most of my life so no suggestions less than two inches. A quick note is the last time it was medium length my hair decided to fight gravity and do the mushroom hairstyle until it grew longer. To reiterate because i know someone will miss the hint. I'd rather fight the stylist to the death than get a buzz cut of any sort.

here are two more examples of what my hair type. Forgive the color and face, i didn't have any decent examples :p

Thanks for any suggestions!

Long hair to medium-short "Professional" hairstyle for thick hair?

I really would go to a high end mens salon, what ever it is called these days I do not know.

My point is you need a professional to do you justice. Curly thick hair, is not as easy to cut and style as some believe. I know my youngest daughter has thick, and curly hair.

Best of hair style to you, and keep on engineering!

Long hair to medium-short "Professional" hairstyle for thick hair?

Your hair is too thick and curly you will either need to straighten it and then cut it how ever you'd like without going short or go short all together. I think you know what you have to do. Can you afford to keep looking like Side Show Bob from the Simpson's!?

Long hair to medium-short "Professional" hairstyle for thick hair?

i would cut it quite short, in my opinion anyway. to really pull of long hair it would need to be straight and you dont ant to be puttin ure hair through that! how about a small mushroom?????? ggod luck anyway and sorry i couldnt help more...for once i dont kno what to say!

What's the most outrageous amount you've ever been charged to have your hair trimmed at a

One time, I went to a place in the mall, and had about 1" cut off the ends of my hair. No wash, no style, no blow-drying....just trimming off the split ends.

I nearly died when the stylist charged me THIRTY-TWO DOLLARS! The reason? According to her, "We charge more for long hair." Well, yeah, my hair IS down to my waist, but all she did was cut off ONE INCH ALL AROUND.

Needless to say, I never went back THERE again %26gt;: (

What's the most outrageous amount you've ever been charged to have your hair trimmed at a salon?

Being a guy who uses clippers on his hair for free, an old GF of mine wanted me to go to a salon. They did the same thing I do at home and charged me $40......+ tip! I took it in the butt that day, I tell you. Then I got grief for it because I didn't want to go back.....

What's the most outrageous amount you've ever been charged to have your hair trimmed at a salon?

To get my hair shaved in the back, no style I got charged 10 dollars. I think I got off cheap.

What's the most outrageous amount you've ever been charged to have your hair trimmed at a salon?

one dollar and I had to bring my own bowl

What's the most outrageous amount you've ever been charged to have your hair trimmed at a salon?

wish i had enough hair to do that!^^

What's the most outrageous amount you've ever been charged to have your hair trimmed at a salon?

25 dollars for a split-end trim. Ridiculous isn't it!?

What's the most outrageous amount you've ever been charged to have your hair trimmed at a salon?

I usually pay about $50 for a haircut, and I'm a guy. I think $75 would be my limit.

What's the most outrageous amount you've ever been charged to have your hair trimmed at a salon?

Thats ridiculous! How can they charge someone just because their hair is longer? So if my husband and I went in to get our hair trimmed they would charge him less? I think they were giving you some lame excuse to get your money. You're right to never ever go there again. Have a friend or family member do trims from now on. Thats what I do because I just cant see paying somebody just for a simple trim.

What's the most outrageous amount you've ever been charged to have your hair trimmed at a salon?

$55 - that's right fifty-five dollars, at a hotel salon in Washington DC. It was the only place available on short notice before a new customer presentation. And the really bad news is that it took two months and three visits to my regular stylist to get back to normal again.

Any recommendations on a good Hair salon to go to in the Cocoa Beach/Orlando area?

Looking for a good hair salon to visit in this area. I hate changing stylist and not knowing how well they can cut/color beforehand can end up in disaster. Looking for color and highlights and a good cut.

Any recommendations on a good Hair salon to go to in the Cocoa Beach/Orlando area?

I would highly recommend the Mychael Peters Salon in Orlando. I used to live in Orlando and that's the salon I frequented. They are amazing. They are located across from Lake Ivanhoe on 'Ivanhoe Row' which is physically located on Orange Ave. in downtown Orlando.

Hope that helps!!

I wanna get my hair cuti n layers but dont understand?

Im a dude never ever got my hair cuti n a salon by a women and i want a nice hair style i dont wanna go to a stylist and look like an idiot trying to explain my self what is a lyer? Do they look nice I dont think i ever seen a layer hair before? How much would it cost to get a cut with layers in it? Another thing is I dont know how to describe the haircut i want? I need help.

I wanna get my hair cuti n layers but dont understand?

Most men's cuts are considered "fully layered" and it doesn't cost any more.

Layers mean just what they say. Hair is cut getting shorter as you get closer to the top.

Most guys get a combination cut of a clipper on the sides and back and a scissor cut on top. (it's how I cut my husband's hair).

What to tell the average stylist is how long you want it in the back (up to your hair line or just off the collar are examples), where you what the bang area to fall (around your forehead), where you what your hair to fall in relation to your ears and where you want the shortest piece.

You can also ask what it would look like if she took an inch off (she can measure it and show you where it will fall with her fingers before actually cutting).

If you have longer hair and are going for the popular shaggy look just say exactly that and unless you have curly hair request a razor cut (there will be a little pulling with that however...nothing painful).

She may ask if you prefer a certain shape in your neckline...most common is just follow the natural hair line.

I hope that helps!

I wanna get my hair cuti n layers but dont understand?

Go find a picture of the hair you want, %26amp; print it out to show the person at the salon.

I wanna get my hair cuti n layers but dont understand?

at the salon they always have books that have both female and male pictures of new hairstyles..you could go a little early before your apointment and look at the books then when you find one you like just show your stylist she will cut your hair the way you want it...i hope this helps..and goodluck!

How can I maintain my razor cut?

Last time I got my haircut, I got a razor cut. I liked it, but about 3 weeks later the effects are wearing off and my hair seems to be returning to "normal." My hair hasn't grown much, so it doesn't warrant going to get a haircut. Is there any way I can maintain the look and feel of the razor cut without going back to the stylist and paying $12?

How can I maintain my razor cut?

Well 12 bucks isn't that bad for a haircut! But try some texturizing products to get the piecey feel back.

My hair seems to have stopped growing. I want it longer?

I have grown my hair to my mid back region. I have never had it longer in my whole life. I want to see if it will go longer, but I am not having luck. I want to get it to my waist. Has anyone had their hair stop growing and gotten it to go farther? The stylist said it was split ends and I got them cut off. I was also suggested prenatal vitamins. My hair is not colored or permed. I do not use styling products, irons or blow dry. I use conditioner. I have been sickly that could be it. Any suggestions?

My hair seems to have stopped growing. I want it longer?

Well, often what happens is that the hair isn't not growing, but breaking. Split ends, and stuff like that. It sounds weird, but getting regular trims makes your hair get longer faster. You should also be taking good care of it, don't put it in a ponytail when it's wet

My hair seems to have stopped growing. I want it longer?

I've read somewhere that hair and sometimes just stop growing. I know that that happens with my bangs. It's stupid and I don't understand why, but it is possible.

My hair seems to have stopped growing. I want it longer?

some things are genetic! style it and go!

My hair seems to have stopped growing. I want it longer?

Hair is programmed genetically to grow a certain length, texture and color. Your hair may only grow to the middle of your back no matter what procedures or products you do/put on it. Regualr trims keep it looking nice, but cannot help it grow longer or thicker than it is programmed by your genetics to grow.

Can't get RED out of my colored brown hair :(?

Hi,

I am a 47 year old male. I have lots and lots of gray which I HATE and started coloring it recently to a dark brown (my natural color).

The stylist tried Ash originally and my hair had a slight green tint to it. Then she tried a Neutral Base and it has a slight RED tint to it.

She even tried putting some of that stuff that is supposed to cut the red and it didn't help.

It is driving me NUTS!

After all these years of creating hair color, WHY CAN'T ANYONE MAKE SOMETHING THAT IS JUST BROWN?

Any ideas on how to cut this RED out? It makes the color look FAKE to have that redness to it and it doesn't match my skin tone at all :(

Can't get RED out of my colored brown hair :(?

maybe you are going ginger sucka

Can't get RED out of my colored brown hair :(?

red is the hardest coulour to get out of hair you will have to let it grow out or cut it out. do not try to cleanse the hair or you will get colour lock and no colour will go over it. if you want just a normal brown in ireland we would use 5.0 its a deep light brown with no added tones but until the red has grown out you will still see it

Can't get RED out of my colored brown hair :(?

well for 1) if it was a professional i hope you didn't pay for it and 2) while you were there you should have asked for another person. Grey can be tricky and avoid ash. The best solution for best results, go to another place to have it corrected. There are salons that specialize in color correction. Just research. This isn't always the case but usually what you pay for is what you get when going to a salon. Not always though. Just find someone you like and stick with that person. Good luck in getting the red out.

Can't get RED out of my colored brown hair :(?

oh my, that's terrible. I would dye it a dark brown and eventually it will lighten up in 2 weeks. I agree red is terrible esp. with hard to get out. U should have the stylist fix it and don't pay a dime more! good luck

Can't get RED out of my colored brown hair :(?

There is some sort of shampoo out there for that. It is either called purple or is purple. It works. My friends uses it to keep the red out of her hair. She is a natural red head and keeps it blondish brown.

Can't get RED out of my colored brown hair :(?

First of all, find a new stylist. She doesn't know what she is doing. Go to a good salon (not a chop shop like supercuts or hair cuttery..those people usually don't know how to do color). They need to use a semi or demi-perm color on you. A good stylist will know what to mix to cut the red.

At home, the only thing I could suggest is to try a "blue" shampoo to help cut the red. They sell this for grey and blond hair to cut the brassy hue. Shimmering Lights is sold in most stores. ***But this will likely not be strong enough to truly cut the red, but it might help a bit.

Help with Poofy Layered hair?

My hair is REALLY poofy and amazingly thick. I had it layered last year. I cant go to the stylist for a while. When I was younger and before it was layered it worked fine but It felt like it wasnt as thick then. It feels like my layers dont blend at all they look like 2 different lengths. My hair is a giant poof ball. I end up always having to put the short layer in a bun so its partially up. The issue is if I cut out the long layer my hair will be about shoulder legnth maybe a bit shorter. I really like longish hair. I cant get any chemical treatments for 4 years! Because I'm only 13

Help with Poofy Layered hair?

Girl, get ceramic hair straightener. It is the only way. Up til two years ago I had the poofiest hair, the straightener saved my life.

Help with Poofy Layered hair?

Well, what you can do is use a staightener to get rid of the poufiness, or use some anti-frizz hairsprays, like the John Frieda one. Or you could get your hair cut again with subtle layers, because sometimes the hairstylist makes a mistake. I would know because I have curly hair, and when it gets poufy, it stays poufy!

Does anyone know what the name of the haircut Kelly Clarkson wears in her video "Since you Been

Does anyone know what the name of the haircut Kelly Clarkson wears in her video "Since you Been Gone"?

i thinks its "magic haircut". if not just print out the picture of Kelly's hairstyle and show it to ur stylist to make sure and so u dont need to describe to the stylist. just tell thats what u want.

Long hair fast?

my hair is about 5 inches past my shoulders, and i think the length is short. is there any vitamins i can take that will make it grow longer??? i do cut split ends cut, but whenever i do, my stylist takes an inch off, so i hate my length all over again. i wish i could get extentions, but that would cost over $1000 for what i want, and i want like Amy Lee length of hair!!! any suggestions??? besides waiting 3-4 years

Long hair fast?

I think $1000 is a bit excessive for extensions....have you tried easy methods like clip ons so that you remove them easily? You can also try a sew-in weave which would last for a couple months.

There really is no miracle cure for slow/regular hair growth...some are just luckier than others in that their hair grows like a weed.

Long hair fast?

even i wana know? plz pass on to me. if u egt any appropriate answer

Long hair fast?

wash your hair more!! (hairs are like plants...)

Long hair fast?

Clip on extensions are still your best bet they will run you about $145 depending on the length you want. Other than telling your stylist to just "Dust" the ends of your hair when you go back to them. Communication is the key with you stylist. You have to make sure they understand what YOU want before they start cutting! If you are doing something to your hair causing it great damage, then you should only need your ends trimmed every other month if that.

My hair is bleached platinum, but the toner to keep it from being gold won't stay on my hair, a

Any suggestions from stylist or colourists out there? My hair naturally lifts to golden but I don't like it so my stylist puts a toner to neutralize the gold but it has only lasted about 5 days %26amp; it was a permanent colour that she used. I was wondering if I were to just bleach it again %26amp; remove all the colour from the hair, would this work? My hair is pretty strong %26amp; in great condition. I think it can withstand one more round of bleach without causing too much damage. I have even been using a blue/purple shampoo called Shimmer lights to help boost the toner %26amp; cut the gold. I was considering using a violet based colour rather than a neutral as a toner but it kind of scares my that I may turn my hair violet!

No matter who colours my hair, I end up w/ the same problem- it goes gold. I need some help please. I have an aesthetician's license so I am able to purchase all professional hair colouring products.

My hair is bleached platinum, but the toner to keep it from being gold won't stay on my hair, any suggestions

I think from the sounds of it your best bet at this point would be to do a really heave highlight, and get those pieces as light as you can. It will cause a lot less damage to your hair than bleaching your whole head. The lighter pieces will blend out the gold pieces if there is enough highlights.

If you don't want to go that route shades eq by redken has a toner called platinum ice. If you decide to try this product make sure you get the shades eq developer if you don't the toner wont work and make sure you watch it very, very, very close if left on to long or put on to light of hair it will turn it grey.

My hair is bleached platinum, but the toner to keep it from being gold won't stay on my hair, any suggestions

PURPLE SHAMPOO!

My hair is bleached platinum, but the toner to keep it from being gold won't stay on my hair, any suggestions

Um maybe you aren't leaving the toner on long enough. You should leave it on at least 30 min. like normal permanent color that way it has a chance to deposit into the cortex. Some stylist just put it on and rinse it out 5 min later because it takes on most people enough that its not golden. Also shimmering lights removes golden tones you were right but it could have ruined the toner you put on it. thus making it fade faster and go back to the tone under it. You don't want to bleach it again because it will just come out the same. A toner is your best be all around, you may be picking a color for your toner that is still in the golden family so it can't really mask any golden tones. Good luck. Hope I helped some.

My hair is bleached platinum, but the toner to keep it from being gold won't stay on my hair, any suggestions

Your stylist is probably using a high lift tint, instead of a decolorizer on your hair...The problem is that the tint is not strong enough to lift you past that orange stage, and the toner is not dark enough to cover the "brassy "color.

You need to do a full scalp bleach, to get it light enough, or highlight the top to get it light enough,,,,,this is a common problem with blonds...

I recommend that you keep your hair a little darker (for contrast) and highlight to the desired level of blond.

My hair is bleached platinum, but the toner to keep it from being gold won't stay on my hair, any suggestions

Try using Shimmer Lights by Clariol, it's a Shampoo in a purple bottle and the colour of the shampoo is purple this should help tone the gold in your hair( just use it each time you feel you want to tone down the gold)Or you could get your hair bleached out so it's whiter(leave bleach on a little longer) and takes most of the gold out.

Thick hair!?

Help!

I have extremely thick long hair, and I want to get it cut to about shoulder length. I'm going to ask my stylist to thin it with shears, but do you have any other tips on how to make it much thinner and less volumous? [ie: layering, specific cut].

Thanks :)

Thick hair!?

hun!!! i kno exactly how u feel, and im planning on getting my hair layered so i searched around websites and stuff and they said that gettting ur hair layered will make it feel lighter and stuff, but just in case before u get it done just ask ur stylist! oh and make sure u don't cut ur hair too short cuz thick short hair!! EEEK worse mistake iv'e ever made :)

Hope I Helped!

Good Luck on you new hair!

Thick hair!?

thinning it with shears and layering it, will decrease the thickness significantly so that should be enough for you.

Thick hair!?

i have thick hair too, after i blow dry i look like a lampshade... the bast thing to do is get a de-poofer styling gel/cream for after u wash it...and then flat iron it .. but be careful , dont go crazy w/ the layering....cutting your hair from being long into many layers will decrease the weight of it and actually make ur hair MORE poofy, trust me i id it... make sure u keep half of it pretty long ... layer half

Thick hair!?

I also have very thick hair and I love it because there more hair I will have when I become old.. Thick hair is a gift, you can get your hair cut in layers but don't get your hair razored thinner..

Thick hair!?

get it thinned and layered

I got a bad hair coloring job, Can I get my money back?

Hey everyone!! I went to get my hair done yesterday Sat.at this salon, I got my hair darkened and highlights and also a cut! Well I had an appt. at 12.00 and didnt get called until 12.40, I was there for 3 and a half hours, and the stylist did everything wrong, I told him I didnt want to see any red in my hair and that I wanted my highlights to be honey not BLONDE!! This stylist had two assistants and i think has a very good reputation, he is always busy!!! I told him that I wanted to keep my side bangs long, and he cut them like full bangs and short! I told him I wasnt happy w either, the cut and color, and he said that next time he wont charge me for color!! I paid $150.00, and made an appt on tues, this salon is closed sundays and mondays, so he can change it, but I really wanna know if I just can come back on tues and ask for a refund? do u guys think its possible%26gt; will they give it to me ? I really dont want him to touch may hair EVER!!! Thanks!

I got a bad hair coloring job, Can I get my money back?

You can ask for a refund. He can either say yes or no. The fact that you stated you weren't happy yesterday and he offered you a free colour next time suggests he is approachable, but why did you pay up in the first place??? If you were so unhappy about it you could have refused to pay yesterday!

I got a bad hair coloring job, Can I get my money back?

It u go to court yeah!or at least if the guy(or girl) Is nice enough to get u a refund!

I got a bad hair coloring job, Can I get my money back?

He sounds full of himself. I doubt that you get your money back. Next time, you should try a place that you're familiar with. I'm sorry about your hair, that stinks =(

I got a bad hair coloring job, Can I get my money back?

It might be possible, but you shouldn't have left. If you weren't happy the thing to do is to deal with the manager. I'm not saying that what you did is wrong, but it's always best to deal with it right when it happens. When you go back you should definitely complain to the manager and ask for your money back.

I got a bad hair coloring job, Can I get my money back?

It doesn't hurt to try! If they say it is not possible I would insist that another stylist fix my hair the way I intended at no charge.

I got a bad hair coloring job, Can I get my money back?

Did you pay with a credit card? You can always complain about the charge.

I would phone the store manager and ask what the manager plans on doing to rectifying the situation.

I got a bad hair coloring job, Can I get my money back?

same thing happened to me....it was awful....... 90.00 and had red hair ...anyway she said I could come back and she would correct it for free..ya right...lmao...it came out worse I think she destroyed my hair on purpose.....oh well I will never go back to her ..look up some other salons found one that has been in business for 23 years so I picked her and thank god.......my hair color looks great but I have so much damage,,,three process and each was a double process....alot of damage ...

Is it just your high lights that are red.........he can fix that and go back ....tell them you want someone with more experience...you paid for it and hes working for you .........get what YOU want done...they will not give your money back sorry ....been there also...but be demanding on what you want ...good luck to you ...btw do some protein treatments to protect it on your next visit...from damage...get the esstainals by matrix...I love it my hairs so damage I have to use it or it would just break of to the root...it puts the protein back into my hair shes taken out with all the high lighting processing..

? I think I have a thyroid condition that's causing hair shedding.............?

I think that's it...My hair grows like water and is in good condition, I had a little over an inch cut a week ago and the stylist made several comments on the condition of my hair but it's shedding and has been doing so for over a year...I don't see what else it could be this isn't typical in my blood line, I was born with thick hair and even my Grandmother has thick hair still...What do you'll think...have you ever been through this and found out the reason for shedding...what can cause shedding please list some things before i go make an appointment...has anyone ever discovered that they had a thyroid condition causing shedding?

? I think I have a thyroid condition that's causing hair shedding.............?

You could very well have a thyroid condition, known as Hypothyroidism. (underactive thyroid gland) Some of the symptoms, are hair loss, dry skin, weight gain, tiredness, etc. The easiest way to find out if you have it or not, is to schedule an appointment with your doctor, tell him of your concerns, %26amp; ask him to order a special blood test for you. Without a doubt, it will confirm whether or not you have it. If you have it, you will be placed on synthroid, %26amp; in time, the pills will raise the various levels, within the thyroid gland. Periodically, you will have this special bloodwork repeated, %26amp; if any of the levels are low, the doctor may increase your daily dosage of synthroid. Hair loss can also result from stress also.

? I think I have a thyroid condition that's causing hair shedding.............?

yes thyroids can cause some hair loss i have thyroids, go get it checked its a simple blood test

? I think I have a thyroid condition that's causing hair shedding.............?

Thyroid problems run in my family, and I can tell you for sure that hair loss is one symptom. Other major symptoms are fatigue weight loss or gain or insomnia. There are also many different kinds of thyroid disorders, so narrowing down will be helpful.

You need to go to a doctor to have thyroid bloodwork done and explain your symptoms. Thyroid problems are tricky and the only way to be sure is to discuss it with a healthcare professional. However, once you've figured out what's wrong, there are certain meds you can go on that will help you a lot of your symptoms.

Good luck :)

? I think I have a thyroid condition that's causing hair shedding.............?

Thyroid could be one of several causes. Some medications will cause loss of hair for example Birth control, anti depressants, etc. also age and stress could play a signficant role.

? I think I have a thyroid condition that's causing hair shedding.............?

Yes, for me the shedding was due to hypothyroidism. To test for this have a morning TSH, Free T4, Free T3, and an antibody test.

When I first got on medication, it did not help with the hairloss. It ony helped when I switched to a natural thyroid medication called ARmour. Actually some hair grew back, especially the eyebrow area.
