What color should i dye my hair ?

Okay . So i am a brunette, and i have dark dark dark brown eyes. My hair is really thick , and is cut in layers , goes down below the chest. First i got highlights. They looked natural, had a tone of orange. Then I got blond highlights . They were to blond, so the stylist toned them and i got a mix of different blond tones . Basically I'm tired of my highlighted hair and want to do something new . I can either dye my hair back to the brunette i was , to dye it a light brown , or get more highlights . What do you think i should do ?

Why would you want to dye your hair?! Its TERRIBLE for you hair. If i were you i wouldnt dye it.

Why dont you just die it a new colour? Highlights are so cliche like seriously... Go for a new colour! Soften it up a bit or Edge it out. Whichever you prefer. If you really want a hair change get it cut. No a lot but you know a cut where people can tell thats its been cut. =]

A lighter brown would be good because it will blend well over your blonde highlights and it is still different from having your natural dark brown hair.

dying your hair is bad for it, and expensive, but if you want to dye it, you should dye the bottom layers dark brown, and the top layers light brown, that way the dark brown shows through the light in areas, but doesn't look, cheap, tacky, or highlighted. But it really should be your choice, it IS your hair after all.

Hair dyed to dark or light above its natural color looks awful. I had a similar problem, my hair is light brown and I blonde highlights. What I did was to just dye my natural cover over them, looks good as new. So I think you should dye it back to your natural color, or if you want something different, maybe a little lighter.
