My hair was overprocessed in a salon leaving it very damaged. What can I do to treat dry/damaged/ po

My hair was breaking for a while. I had it cut and cut off about four inches. Since the trim it has stopped breaking. When would you recommend attempt to color correct the hair by a professional? Any stylists??

get it cut as short as you can bear, and condition condition condition!

I suffer from dry greasy hair if that makes sense! My hair is very badly split and dry but also gets greasy very quickly so i wash it every day with a frequent use moisturising shampoo (John Frieda Straightening Agent is my favourite). Lots of conditioner, some folk say you only need a small squirt but i use a good palmful. Leave it on for two minutes and rinse for at least 3 minutes.

Towel dry and spray in a leave in conditioner on the ends, this makes them stronger and more resistant to splitting. Never use a brush on wet hair- use a wide tooth comb and be gentle!

Straighten if you must, but slather on a good heat protector- I recommend Straightening Potion also by John Freida (no i'm not a John Frieda sales rep- it's just good).

Never straighten wet hair either.

Style as desired, and rub in some frizz taming serum. You may need to use a lot if your hair is as split as mine!

Do this every day, and you'll soon feel better about your hair.

Once you apply hair color expect it to be dry...let it grow

FInd out what salons around you carry Redken products and get the Cat Protien . . . its going to make your hair still and feel awful but that is actually helping it then use the shampoo and cond for a while. try not to use any heat (blow dryer ect.) Start using a deep cond as well with a clear processing cap for about 20 mins.
