How to cut your own bangs?

i want to cut my bangs straight across, my hair is naturally thin and wavy and i want my bangs to stay wavy, but i dont know how long i should keep them, right above my eyebrows or what? i'd go to my stylist but its urgent i need to cut them by today

thanks for the tips!

How to cut your own bangs?

when you cut your own hair, wet hair shrinks so dry your bangs comb them straight and gather them into your fingers tightly. pull them down to the center of your nose and don't cut above the bridge of your nose. They should shrink up to the top of your eyebrow this way they will also spread naturally longer on the sides.

good luck

How to cut your own bangs?

this is a really good answer Report It

How to cut your own bangs?

U DONT! U could give ur self split ends get it done by a professional!

How to cut your own bangs?

yes i think u should cut them above ur eyebrows but sometimes when u cut ur own bangs the bangs look choppy so cut ur bangs then point ur scissors up and then make cut it will make them look natura =)

How to cut your own bangs?

It's best if you go to a professional who knows about cutting wavy hair. There are factors you will need to consider before cutting, are you going to flat iron them in order to keep them straight all the time, and how will they look when they get wet? I know many folks who just pulled their curly hair down to their eyes and cut them and then wound up with awful crazy looking bangs! (I did it myself when I was a teenager) So go see your stylist!

How to cut your own bangs?

i recommend sectioning your hair where you want to cut and pull to the tip of your nose and then cut don't want them too short. because it's just a little short after you cut it, nothings holding or pulling down so them spring back up, you can always cut more if needed, but long bangs are better. hope this helped.

Haircuts and styles to make my hair look thicker...?

My hair is fine and fairly long. I am going to get it cut soon, before school. I need some tips and suggestions on a cut that will make it look thicker. And don't tell me "good shampoo". I know that! Just some ways to cut and style it. And what to tell the stylist to do to my hair.

Haircuts and styles to make my hair look thicker...?

Try this cut...it's what im doing!

Haircuts and styles to make my hair look thicker...?

Layers, it will give some volume! curls also add volume. don't use alot of product it will weigh hair down and make it look thin and flat.

Haircuts and styles to make my hair look thicker...?

If you have thin hair, it's best to keep it short (like shoulders or shorter). If it's long, it looks stringy and oily. Also, get some tiny highlights all over to help create depth and texture. For a cut, look for something with layers, but not too short layers. One blunt cut can also make hair appear thinner than it really is.

When styling, use a large round brush and blow dry your hair upside-down, brushing toward the floor. This creates lift and volume. You can also use large velcro rollers or hot rollers if you want a little curl.

Get layers and bangs!!!

I have straight hair and am looking into getting a body wave?

My hair is primarily straight and I use a Chi straightener on it to make it look nicer. I have a very hard time getting my hair to curl. I've tried all kinds of curling irons but they just don't take to my hair very well.

The only time it really worked was for a wedding and the stylist had to cover my hair in hairspray, comb it through and tease it, then curl -- very painful and sticky.

So I'm looking into getting a "body wave" (perm) for some natural looking loose curls, so that hopefully I can put some mousse or gel in my hair and go every day.

My question is, will my hair still straighten easily with the Chi flat iron when I want it straight some days?

And also, does anyone know the price range in general for a body wave? I'll ask my stylist the next time I go in for a cut, but for now I am curious.

Thank you!!!! :)

I have straight hair and am looking into getting a body wave?

wow you sound just like me!! haha - i have the same hair, same flat iron, and the same problem lol. I've been wanting to get my hair permed to, but just on larger rods so it will be somewhat curly and somewhat wavy. my hairstylist here in missouri told me that she would charge me $60 for a perm and to wash %26amp; trim my hair. so thats not too bad, but i dont know what the prices are like where you live, so you would have to ask and see...

I have straight hair and am looking into getting a body wave?

scrunch it

I have straight hair and am looking into getting a body wave?

i also i straight hair. i don't use mousse tho i have scruncher spray and i spray scrunch and dry it. it comes out like a body wave.

it's a nice change.

it's more satisfying than dying it.

i've had four perms in my hair. mine brushed out.

so becarful with that.

and if you don't like it you can always by straightening chemicals.

they aren't expensive at all.

plus you can buy them at any walmart or hair store(sally's)

what have you got to lose!!!

Will Rogaine work on bleach damaged hair?

My hair got severely damaged from a stylist who left bleach on too long. Now it breaks off constantly and has lost thickness. I'm going to cut off some of the damage, but my hair isn't that long as it is (because ANOTHER stylist before this one whacked off half of it without my consent). Some luck I have. I already use top of the line salon quality products on my hair. I was just wondering if a product like Rogaine for Women or Nioxin would help make it thicker and/or help the growth rate of new healthy hair? And will it fade my hair dye? I'd like to hear from stylists and people who have used these products.

Will Rogaine work on bleach damaged hair?

wow, i had that happen to me, too. the stylist who was doing my hair went off on a smoking break for like 20 minutes with one her friends and when she saw what she had done to my hair all she could say was "oops." my hair turned into this soft straw-like stuff %26amp; wouldn't stop falling out.

i actually used rogain for women %26amp; nioxin. neither seemed to really do anything %26amp; i think rogain gave me a chin hair. ew! trust me, your hair will recover without any of those products, just leave it alone and stick to good hair masks. and like the girl above me said, biotin really works! it makes your hair %26amp; nails grow a lot faster. it's actually been proven to help with hair loss. and they are really tiny tiny pills.

frederic fekkai overnight hair repair is amazing!! it's like $60 for a little bottle, but what i do is order it off different websites %26amp; then call in and say it arrived damaged, so they send me another one...so it's not so bad. lol. also, ojon moisturizing conditioner (i buy it by the liter now) %26amp; alterna hemp/caviar shampoos (expensive as hell, but you can find the liter sizes on ebay for the same amount a little bottle costs in a store). i read that using hemp shampoos and oils in your hair makes it thicker.

Will Rogaine work on bleach damaged hair?

It is dishonest and possibly illegal to lie about the condition a package arrives in and then request a replacement. How can you think this is ok and then actually recommend it to millions of people on the web. My conscience would NEVER allow me to do such a thing. Report It

Will Rogaine work on bleach damaged hair?

idk about that... thats for when your like balding and stuff.. i would recommend taking biotin pills (u can get it at a vitamin store) and stuff that makes ur hair grow. That sucks next time only go to a hair stylist someone has already went to. I dont kno why they gave them a license in the first place! bleach is not to be messed with!

Will Rogaine work on bleach damaged hair?

Once you start using Rogaine you have to use it forever.

Rogaine can not compete with bad styling and processing choices. Be patient. Leave the hair dye on the store shelves. Keep your hair and scalp clean. Avoid high heat styling devices. Avoid stiff hair gels.

Will Rogaine work on bleach damaged hair?

i think the rogaine works on the hair folicles or at the skin surrounding the folicles and you should consult a doctor regarding the product (as i believe the product contains a mild prescription in it that is used by heart/blood pressure patients...pls take care!). you might try heavy conditioners/repairing conditioners for your damaged hair and take some Hair/skin/nail vitamens to help strengthen the hair that comes in. the damaged hair is only repairable to a certain degree.

Will Rogaine work on bleach damaged hair?

I am a nurse and a cosmetologist. Rogaine works on the scalp by increasing the blood supply to the blood vessels that feed the hair. Unless you have a problem with balding or thinning hair I would stick with vitamins that help your hair grow. You can get the in any health food store. Rogaine will make hair color fade quicker from what my clients tell me. As far as the breakage, redken cat reconstructor will help with this because it helps repair the bond in the hair that give it strength. If the hair is really badly broken then it will break sooner or later. Caution about putting a lot of color on your hair, do not use any that lift the color, you will be better off using something that coats the hair to give it color. Good luck, hair comes back. Next time watch them when they cut, and have them respond back to you after you tell them how you want it cut.

Will Rogaine work on bleach damaged hair?

I wouldnt use it, you shoulduse what I did when I HAD svere damaged hair.I think you should check out.

I just went to their launch party and had my hair done, free as a demo. Its amazing, my hair was breaking off and flying away. I will always always buy this stuff. Its awesome, I saw a difference as soon as she rinsed my hair. I have no damage anymore, its unbelievable! No more split-ends, its like my hair is NEW! I love it!

That would look great I think. Go for it.

New hair style help!?

yes i like it

New hair style help!?

I'd stay away from the bob because your face is roundish. If anything, grow out your hair a little bit and get layers that compliment your best facial feature by having the shortest layer next to that feature. Good luck.

New hair style help!?

i really like this hair style dont no if you like it but i love it

Yeah go ahead. Best to get a few different tones of blonde, looks more natural. Tell your hairdresser you want Cameron Diaz blonde, she'll know what you mean.

"Scene hair" in brown and blonde?

In a few weeks, I will be redying my hair. It is currently a light blond and reaches my shoulders, I would like to change it completely. I was thinking of dying my hair a medium brown, and putting side bangs. I will be getting extensions down to my chest. Also, I may dye my bangs a platinum blond or put highlights through them. I still need an exact cut to show the stylist. Any suggestions?
